Together for Our Planet is a partnership project between Buzzing Roots, Queensmead Primary Academy and Eco-Schools Leicester.

We are inviting Braunstone’s community to five Saturday workshops (Sat 30 Apr, Sat 28 May, Sat 2 July, Sat 6 Aug, Sat 10 Sep) at Walled Gardens, Braunstone Park.

In these workshops participants will learn how to prepare soil, grow their own vegetables, prepare food mindfully, prepare and store seeds for next year, make ‘grow your own veg’ sharing packs to share with neighbours and the wider community. We will also host conversations about waste, composting, food packaging, energy, weather changes, wildlife and much more.

Each practical activity will be followed by the community gathering for a talk by guest speakers on climate change problems and solutions.

Watch this space for guest speaker announcements and more detailed workshop descriptions.

Wonderful News!

Eco Warriors from Queensmead Primary Academy will be going to the London Science Museum to learn from their Our Future Planet exhibition and come back to teach their new knowledge to their community.

They will share their findings on Sat 2 Jul 1.00pm as part of the Our Future Planet workshop at Braunstone Park’s Walled Gardens (11am – 3pm). Thank you to East Midlands Trains for supporting the Eco Warriors trip to London Science Museum!
